NATALIA PINEDA QUINTERO (Cali, Colombia, 1996) is a Social Worker (University of Valle, 2021). She completed the Master’s Degree in Feminist and Gender Studies (EHU, 2024) thanks to a Carolina Foundation scholarship. Her doctoral research builds upon her master’s thesis to develop an ethnography on the urban experiences of racialized girls in Cali, considering the bodily and emotional dimensions that shape their everyday experiences in public space, their perceptions of the right to the city, and the claims and resistance strategies they put into practice.
She has worked at the Subsecretariat for Gender Equity of the Cali Mayor’s Office, leading training processes for public officials aimed at incorporating the gender perspective in public administration. She has also been an adjunct lecturer (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, 2023; Universidad Icesi, 2025) and has been involved with community organizations advocating for the rights of children and youth in her city, such as Fundación Alfombra Mágica, Asociación Casa Cultural El Chontaduro, and Preicfes Comunitario y Popular Paulo Freire.
